Ninety minutes on the whole business.
A business diagnostic, across brand, operations and business development. A written page follows two days later. You do not need to arrive with it organised, and you do not need to know yet what the problem is.
$300 flat. No intake form. No pitch at the end.
Why this exists
You are not lacking anything. You are under something.
Most of the women who book a Sounding can list what they have built. Revenue. A client roster. A team, or the beginning of one. A reputation that brings work in without being asked. What they cannot do is find the thing that makes all of it heavier every month.
That thing is almost always structural. It is rarely a mindset and it is almost never located where it is felt. The bookkeeping is late because the pricing is wrong. The work is exhausting because you are still the only person who can do the part that matters.
Ninety minutes with someone outside the business is usually enough to find it.
The ninety minutes
One conversation, across the whole business
You talk. I ask questions and take notes. We move across the whole business rather than one department of it, because pressure travels and the place it lands is rarely the place it starts.
Ninety minutes is the length, not an estimate. A conversation with no end does not produce a decision.
- Nothing to prepare
- There is no intake form and no pre-work. If you can describe your last two weeks, you have everything you need.
- Nothing to organise
- You bring the tangle in whatever order it comes out. Sorting it is the work, not the prerequisite.
- Remote or in person
- Remote by default. In person around the Twin Cities metro and Forest Lake, Minnesota, by arrangement.
- Nothing waiting at the end
- No second session is scheduled after it. If you want to keep working together, you say so.
Two days later
You leave with a page you can act on
Two days after we talk, you get one written page by email. It says what I heard, what is load bearing, and what I would do first.
It is written to be used. You can act on every line of it without me, and you can hand it to a partner or a spouse to explain what you just spent money on.
It is yours whether or not we ever work together again.
What the page is
One page: what I heard, what is load bearing, and what I would do first, in that order. A page because a page gets read and a deck gets saved for later.
What it costs
A Sounding
Flat$300
Ninety minutes, and a written page two days later.
It is the first paid step and it is complete on its own. It is not a deposit, and it does not roll into anything else. If you decide to keep working together, that is a separate decision made after the page is already in your hands.
Every engagement I have run started here. Some clients continue into a build. Some do not. Both of those are a finished outcome.
The part most people leave out
Sometimes the answer is that you don’t need me.
Sometimes the page says the move is a hire. Sometimes it says the move is a price change, or a contract you already have sitting unsigned, or nothing at all for a quarter while something else settles. None of that is work I would bill you for.
I will tell you when that is the answer. Hearing it in week one is worth more than $300, because the alternative is a year spent solving the wrong problem.
From someone who has sat in one
Working with Cydnie has been an absolute pleasure. She listens with intention, quickly understands your vision, and brings it to life with ease. As a new business owner, she has lifted so much off my plate, allowing me to focus on what matters most. She is truly an invaluable asset to any business.
Before you book
Questions people ask first
Is this a coaching call?
No. There is no goal setting and nothing to work on between sessions. It is a diagnostic. You describe how the business currently runs, and you leave with the pressure located and a page naming what to address first.
Do I need to prepare anything?
No. There is no intake form and no pre-work. If you can describe your last two weeks, you have everything you need.
Does the $300 apply toward a larger engagement?
No. A Sounding is the first paid step and it is complete on its own. It is not a deposit. If you continue into a build, that is a separate decision made after the written page is in your hands.
What if I do not know what my problem is?
That is the usual starting point. Locating it is the work of the ninety minutes, and it is the reason the conversation covers the whole business rather than the part you think is broken.
Is it in person or remote?
Remote by default. In person is available in the Twin Cities metro and around Forest Lake by arrangement.
What happens after?
Two days later the page arrives by email. Nothing else is scheduled and there is no follow up sequence. If you want to keep working together, you say so.
